This weeks ‘What’s on Weekly’ features more events from around the country. Here is a selection of just a few events taking place.


Motocross


This weekend the Northampton Motorcyclists Club will be hosting the final round of the South Midland Centre Championship. The event will be taking place at Long Buckby National Track in Northants. Practice will be starting at 9:30am followed by three races for each of the Expert and Junior classes. With Championship honours up for grabs in both the Expert and Junior classes there is sure to be plenty of close racing.


Enduro


Westwood is ready to receive a world class line up this Sunday with top stars like Graham Jarvis who is the current World’s best Extreme rider, Dougie Lampkin 12 times World Trials champion fresh from his extreme win in Portugal, Ben and Dan Hemingway Ertzberg specialists , Paul Bolton Extreme specialist, Mark Jackson , Harry Hillas, then throw in the current top British trials riders James Dabill, Michael Brown , Alexz Wigg , Enduro riders Tyson Maytom- Jones, Aaron Smith , Biff Smith, Jack Lee just to mention a few and you realize what a good line up total extreme has. The course is spectacular with rock gardens, logs, tyre sections all with great viewing, the action starts on Sunday at 9 am with a practice session, followed by the first of the extreme races in between the races the broke freestyle mx team will entertain the crowds. the total Enduro team have put together a mega day of off road motorcycle action with a comprehensive trade village featuring new bikes from Gas Gas , Beta , Honda, Montesa, KTM, there’s something for everyone at Westwood , With race commentary and interviews from Wayne Kershaw. The Westwood venue is centrally placed just off junction 36 M1 between Sheffield and Barnsley gates open at 7 am follow the signs to the car park. Riders can turn up and pay on the day for the speed trial or the Extreme Enduro, please turn up early sign on starts 8 am till 9.30am.


Trials


This weekend the Hillsborough MCC will be hosting the Hillsborough Classic Trial and the final round of the 2011 ACU Mormandale Traditional Championship. The event will be taking place at Dysons Brick Works, Near Stannington Sheffield. The event will be starting at 9:30 on the Sunday morning. Carl Batty currently leads the A class Championship ahead of Dave Thorpe and Rob Bowyer. With all riders in each of the six different classes able to drop a round after this weekend, there is still plenty to play for.

Grass track


On Sunday the Frittenden and District MCC Ltd will be hosting their season finale meeting at Sandhurst Bridge Farm, Frittenden in Kent. Sunday’s meeting will feature the Left Hand Sidecars, 500cc Solo’s and the awesome 1000cc Right Hand Sidecars. Racing will be starting at 12:30pm and there will also be a Bonfire and Firework spectacular after the meeting. For more details please visit the clubs website www.fdmcc.co.uk
