The gate’s ready to drop on the Dirt Bike Show and we at the Auto Cycle Union are busily planning the content and design of our stand C25, which you’ll find in the middle of hall one.

There are more manufacturers involved this November and the growing list of majors committing to the largest dedicated off-road show in Europe includes KTM, Kawasaki, Husqvarna, Suzuki, Husaberg, CCM, GasGas and Montesa. Over on the parts, clothing and accessories front, there’ll be plenty of bling for both rider and machine with O’Neal Europe, Fox Head Europe, Apico International, Madison, CI Sport, Putoline, Lazer, Michelin and Dunlop amongst the hundreds of key brands that’ll be displaying their 2012 ranges.

Keeping visitors of all ages entertained is also high-up on the organiser’s priority list. In the Try a Bike Zone visitors will find free-of-charge activities such as BUMPY with its trials training taster sessions, where adults of 16 years and over can try their hand at a spot of trials riding on 125cc GasGas machinery. Kidz Quadz will provide a fully-supervised kids' quad riding section, which this year, luckily for all involved, will be completely under cover. And the Suzuki Off-Road Experience will use Suzuki DR-Z125 and DR-Z70 models for novice riders to get a taste of what it’s like to ride.

New for 2011 is an Evo/Twinshock display. This is a rapidly growing sector and over the weekend only, the display area will lead through to a fully enclosed and covered ‘Evoshock’ Moto Jumble with free entry for show-goers. Goods sold will be restricted to parts, spares and hard accessories of the era up to, and including, the mid nineties and anyone interested in taking a pitch should contact the Show organisers on 0844 800 6481.

There are substantial ticket discounts available this year, particularly for anyone booking in advance. Half Price Thursday offers an on-the-door admission cost of just £7.50, but adults booking in advance for that day can get in for a bargain price of £5, or a family of two adults and two children aged 11 to 15 years can visit for just £20. Children aged ten and under admitted free of charge on any of the four days. Advance ticket sales close at 9pm on Monday 31st October 2011 - ticket prices and a box office link can be found at www.dirtbikeshow.co.uk
