This weekend the Luscombe Suzuki Leeds Sidecar Trials Championship will be hosting a double header event which will consist of Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2011 championship. With Round 2 of the championship taking place on the Saturday at Liverton, Nr Bovey Tracey for The Andy Cheeseman Trial organised by West of England MC before the Championship heads to The Star Inn at Redruth for The Colin Dommett Trial organised by Cambourne & Redruth MC.
Opening round of ACU British Trials Championship set to take place on 5/6th March

The opening round of the 2011 ACU Events-British Trials Championship, supported by TRC Trucks and Michelin will take place on the 5th and 6th March at Westwood near Tankersley, Barnsley. The event is a chance to watch the Best of British Trials battling it out on a specially designed course which has been created by Graham Jarvis. The event will consist of 3 laps that will feature 12 sections per lap.

THE ACU Events sponsored(supported by TRC Trucks and Michelin) series starts in Yorkshire on March 6th at Westwood, near Barnsley, which will be signed from Junction 36 of the M1 and only a few minutes drive from there. Car parking and spectator viewing is excellent and with Dirt Bike Action and Graham Jarvis looking after the sections you can be certain that they will be an excellent sporting test. The same format as 2010 exists for the current series with practise taking place between 3 - 5pm ....

The Government announced on 17th February that the proposed consultation into ‘privatising’ of thousands of acres of state-owned woodland in England had been dropped by ministers. This has been strongly welcomed by the Auto Cycle Union (ACU) The overhanging threat of forestry land being sold and the impact on motorcycle sport within England has been a matter of deep concern for the ACU and the Industry over recent months.

Recently the Norfolk and Suffolk Group Trails clubs held a charity Trial in aid of helping Local rising Trials riders Jack Sheppard as he continues to progress within the sport. The event took on the 20th February at Paper Mill Lane in Bramford, Suffolk.

Saturday night 13th February at the Healds Hall Hotel, Heckmondwike, saw Julian Ford formally elected as Yorkshire Centre Auto Cycle Union President, taking over the reins from Bumpy Trials Club boss and outgoing President, Carolyne Kenzitt. John Lightfoot, Chairman of the North Berks Motor Cycle & Light Car Club was presented with the Medal of Honour for his contribution to the ACU and the Trials and Enduro Committee at the recent Annual ACU Awards evening held at the Park Inn Hotel in Northampton
