The Motorcycle Live show at the NEC starts this weekend (Saturday 27th November) and runs through to Sunday 5th December.
The ACU will be there in Hall Two at Stand B075. This year, we have a 'Try our Trials' stand kindly being organised by BUMPY, one of our active Trials clubs from the Yorkshire Centre and supported by Colin Appleyard.

The second meeting of the National Council was held at ACU House on Saturday 20th November. Delegates from each Centre and the Non-Territorial Board elected David Smith (Eastern Centre) and Bryan Puckett (West South Wales Centre) to the Board of Directors. Mr Smith is elected for a period of two years until the end of 2012 and Mr Puckett for three years until December 2013.

At the recent FIM and UEM congress meetings two ACU officials were promoted to the top jobs in their respective diciplines.
Dave Willoughby has become Commision Director ( Formerly president) of the World Trials Commision. Dave is also the vice chairman of the ACU Trials and Enduro committee. The term of office approved by the FIM at the recent Macau congress for Dave will be to 2014.

The Southern Motorcycle Club - Isle of Man will be holding a winter trial at South Barrule Quarry on Sunday 12th December starting at 10.00am.
Moving into the new year the club will start 2011 with an enduro on January 9th and will include, Dalby Mountain, Cringle and Arrasey Plantations. Signing on will be at the Tynwald Inn - St Johns on Wednesday 5th January.

The 2011 licence application forms have now been sent to each ACU licence holder who held a licence in 2009 and 2010. Trials Registered riders should note that unless they are applying for an International Licence, on application for a Trials Registration, they are NOT required to complete sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Trials & Enduro licence application form.
Trials Registered Riders may as an alternative, complete the Trials Registration form available on this website via the Licence and Forms section.

Vanessa Cubbon, Secretary of the Manx Two Day Trial, retires after 19 years.
The Isle of Man Centre has expressed its sincere thanks to Vanessa Cubbon for her untiring efforts for the Manx Two Day Trial by presenting her with a replica of the Manx Sword of State. This is traditionally presented to Premier Class winners of the event.
The new Secretary for the Manx Two Day Trial is Tony Temple.

ACU Trailbike Trials Championship 2010 Season Round-Up
FIVE years of one rider's dominance in the ACU Trailbike Trials Championship were ended this season by a consistent effort from Paul Sargant. The Gas Gas Pampera rider toppled Welshman Julian Page, who has ruled the roost on his Beta Alp in the traditional-style trials series since 2005. Third place in the final round, the West of England MC's Moor to Sea trial on October 24, was more than enough for Sargant to seal top spot.

Classic Experts Trial The Rhayader Club are holding their annual Clasic Experts Trial on Saturday 13 November 2010 and this year they have support from the Classic Dirt Bike Magazine. The trial has classes for Pre 65 and Twinshock machines over Expert and Clubman routes using classic sections that formed the back bone of British Experts and World Trials in the 60's and 70's. Please note the Rally Wales GB is passing through the town on Friday and will still be in the Mid Wales area around Builth....
