A historical number of 98 Federations out of 101 attended the FIM General Assembly on Tuesday 19 October at the occasion of the 125th FIM Congress held at the Venetian Hotel in Macau, China. The members of the FIM General Assembly elected Mr Vito Ippolito (Venezuela) FIM President for a second term by 55 votes versus 41 votes cast for his opponent, Mr Jean-Pierre Mougin. Kenchington secures 2nd in title race while Champion Sawford closes the series in fine style The final round of the 2010 250GP ACU National Championship & NG Cup headed for Silverstone where, expectations that the weather would play a part came to fruition. October 23rd-24th Thundersport GB Motorcycle Championships
Donington Park circuit will now be the final championship round for all solo classes of the Thundersport GB Motorcycle Championships. Thundersport run one of the first bike meetings at Donington Park since the re opening of the track in August.

250 GP National Championship returns to Silverstone in fitting finale to the 2010 Series on 23rd October.
It was way back in June when the Fraser’s Of Gloucester, Dunlop and ACU backed National Series visited Silverstone for what was then round 9 of the Championship. On that occasion we were in support of the Air Asia British Moto GP where Bedfordshire’s Andrew Sawford took an emphatic win, in a superb battle with Ant Hodson, Alex Kenchington and earlier in the race Mark Davies whose race ended while leading in a high speed crash entering the Maggots section of the GP circuit..
This time, for the final round the super quick National circuit will be used for the NG Road Racing Club Championship event which hosts the 250 Series.................
Emphatic Sawford takes title plus Martin clinches NG Cup crown The Fraser’s of Gloucester and Dunlop backed 250GP ACU National Championship was clinched by Bedfordshire’s Andrew Sawford at a sunny Thruxton at the weekend. Picking up a very close 2nd place in round 13 at the Hampshire circuit, it was enough to gap the pursuing pack by 25 points, and with only Silverstone remaining later this month – and 25 points available, the St Neot’s Motorcycles Yamaha mounted Sawford ....
