Kenchington and Davis share the spoils over a challenging weekend Jason Davis extended his lead at the top of the Fraser’s of Gloucester and Dunlop backed National Championship, with a 2nd and a win. Alex Kenchington had a mixed bag enjoying victory in Round 3 but a DNF in Round 4 halted his aspirations of taking the double. To help combat the credit crunch and to encourage more riders to take up some road race training, the ACU has reduced the Insurance Permit fee for Road Racing Clubs wishing to run ‘on bike’ training days. Public liability insurance is a requirement for all ‘on bike’ training days. Historically, a per capita charge of £7.50 and a Training Permit fee of £75 made such days prohibitively expensive so few Clubs ran them. However, in an effort to encourage more ....

The return of sidecars to the big stage resulted in two enthralling races which saw wins for Tim Reeves and Patrick Farrance for the Gunther Reischling Motorsport LCR Suzuki team and Nick Crowe and Mark Cox the Dave Hudspeth Carpets/HM Plant LCR Honda team, just as at Donington in the opening meeting of the championship. Crowe now leads the title chase by one point from Ben and Tom Birchall on the Mitchells of Mansfield LCR Honda, who were fourth and second at Brands Hatch, with Reeves in thir....

The hugely successful MotoSix event held at Donington Park on 28th-29th March will be shown on TV commencing on the 18th April. The inaugural Six Nations for Motorcycles was a great success and enjoyed by riders and spectators alike. The four solo races, two 600cc and two 1000cc, produced superb racing which is well worth a look. And the action wasn’t just restricted to two wheels with the Sidecars getting involved with some full contact, paint swapping racing. Supporting the MotoSix....

Reigning FII champions Nick Crowe and Mark Cox (Dave Hudspeth Carpets/HM Plant LCR Honda) won the first race of the Fll Sidecar Championship at Donington Park on the 28th-29th March. The reigning F1 champions Tim Reeves and Patrick Farrance (Gunther Reuschling Motorsport LCR Suzuki) won the second but it was 'new boys' Ben and Tom Birchall (Mitchells of Mansfield LCR Honda) who took the overall honours and with it, the Bill Boddice Trophy to boot!
