The Bingo Lotto Trials Training Day at Bracken Rocks, Derbyshire on 1st November 2008, announced only a few days ago, is now full! Following the announcement of the free Trials Training Day, courtesy of the Bingo Lotto grass roots sports development scheme, the East Midland Racing Association received an overwhelming response, with all allocated spaces booked within 24 hours, including an extensive reserve list. Five times British Trials Champion, Graham Jarvis, demonstrated his amazing skills at the Hookwoods Trials Centre at West Horsley on Sunday 7th September where he shrugged off wet and slippery conditions to win the 6th round of the 2008 Colin Appleyard British Solo Trials Championship.   With just over two weeks to go, the final preparations are now well underway for the Grand Prix of Ireland, which will form the second round of the 2008 FIM SPEA Trial World Championship. The event that will take place over the weekend of the 5th and 6th of April, will also have the honour of hosting the opening round of the European series on Saturday, prior to Sunday’s World competition. The Trials & Enduro Committee would like to give advanced notice of a general Open Trials Forum for adults and youths, which will be held at ACU House, Rugby on Saturday 21st June 2008.By holding the Forum earlier in the year it is hoped that there will be ample time to discuss the many and varied issues relating to Trials Championships and enable adequate time for any changes agreed to be included in the 2009 ACU Handbook.Please note that a separate Forum will be held for the British Solo T....

Mike Hinch also had the advance weather picture for the region which forecast that it was to be sunny initially then more snow and sub zero temperatures after lunch. "If we had opted to run we would never have got a hundred vehicles out of Dob Park. The minor roads would be impassable, as they were early Sunday. James and Andrew had worked hard to prepare the trials course. It was with great regret that they decided that the conditions were just too bad to try and run the Novogar trial....
