At the recent meeting of the FIM Trials Commission in Geneva an application by the ACU to host a round of the World Outdoor Trials Championship was provisionally approved. The event, to be organised by ACU Registered Promoter DIRTBIKE – TRAXS has been placed on the 2009 FIM’s provisional events calendar for 17th May 2009. Final approval for the event will be subject to FIM approval of the proposed site facilities and fulfilment of any other requirements of the Homologation process.....

Teams can consist of up to 4 riders, with the best 3 scores to count, and will be accepted from ACU Centres, ACU Clubs, as well as Scottish ACU Clubs, while AMCA Clubs will also be welcome.The inaugural Team Trial will be incorporated into the Doncaster Cup which is run by the Mansfield Club as a round of the British Sidecar Championships.The start will be from the Miners Standard Hotel, Winster, Nr Matlock, Derbys. Please note this important information:It was reported that at the 2nd round of the ACU Sidecar Championship last Sunday a number of sidecars did not comply to the ACU specification with regard to the nose cone/overall length and the size and height of the seat.With respect to the nose cone/length of the outfit - competitors are to be given until the 4th round on April 6th to comply and the 1st round in 2009 to comply with the seat requirement. The dimensions for an approved sidecar are ava....

TV cameras at Ladies Training Day Bracken Rocks Saturdays ACU’s Ladies Trials Training Day at Bracken Rocks, Nr Matlock will be featured on National TV as part of the new Bingo Lotto Lottery show! The Trials & Enduro Committee intended to make provision for Electric bikes to be ridden  in D Class National Trials and  D Class Championship Trials but ommitted to make this clear in British Solo Youth Trials Championship Regulation 4.4.
