THE ACU Suzuki GSX-R Trophy held its first awards as part of the ACU Annual Awards dinner at The Park Hotel in Northampton on Saturday 26th January, where Lee Hodge and Jay Dunn picked up their prizes for finishing first and second in the one-make Championship. 27-year old Hodge from Chesham picked up the Championship title at the final round at Cadwell Park last year. Leading Manx officials will work alongside ACU Events Ltd personnel, the TT Co-ordinating Committee has confirmed. The news was announced as the supplementary regulations and entry forms for TT 2008 were released. Eddie Nelson, Assistant Clerk of the Course during the Centenary TT, takes the role of Clerk of the Course. 2008 events at Scarborough will not include the international Bike Week Festival. The first training day was held at the ACU HQ in Rugby and was hosted by seasoned media veteran Chris Carter, deputy editor of top road race newspaper BikeSport News and former TV commentator on all types of motorcycle sport.  Chris began his commentary career as a race commentator for motocross. Each rider was interviewed by the panel along with their parent.  The interview panel asked riders questions about their racing motivation, their career goals and their racing plans for 2008.
