The Isle of Man will conclude its TT Centenary Year with more prestigious world-class motorcycling events, topped by the FIM World Team Championship Trial des Nations.This will take place on Sunday September 30th based on the Island’s capital town Douglas.   Spectators will not have far to go to watch the action.  Agreement has recently been reached that all but two of the 12 groups of observed sections will be within the boundary of the Borough, with the paddock and adminis....

Thames M.C.C. have been entrusted with the organisation of the crucial penultimate round.It will be the first time in many years that a Championship event has been staged south of London. Thames M.C.C. have worked long and hard to prepare what should prove to be a superb event.This round will bring competitors, spectators and therefore trade, from all parts of the British Isles into the West Horsley region. The final round of the Women’s European Trial Championship took place in Hobol, Norway on Saturday 18th August and saw Becky Cook climb onto the second step of the podium, her best result of the season, finishing third in the Championship standings.  Supporting her were fellow Trials Des Nation team member Donna Fox with a fifth place in the event and Championship standings, Emma Bristow 10th, 7th in Championship and Joanne Coles 11th - 8th in the Final standings. The FIM have today released a circular informing all its FMNs that the Belgian round of the World Trial Championship , due to take place on 23.9.07 has been cancelled . This also affects the second round  of the Womens World Trial Championship. As a result of the cancellation, the Prizegiving Ceremony will now take place at the Andorran round on 2.9.07.At present we have no explanation for the cancellation.....

PRESS RELEASE The ACU’s Trials and Enduro Committee have been requested by the Isle of Man’s Department of Agriculture to ensure that all competitors entering this weekends 2 day Trial present their bikes to the Machine Examiners in a ‘showroom’ condition. With the outbreak of foot and mouth disease on the mainland, the Manx Authorities are understandably taking no chances and have stated that if machines are presented in a muddy condition, they will be refused entry in....

The Isle of Man Centre, organisers of the Manx 2 Day Trial, are pleased to confirm that the event is still going ahead.The route has been revised to comply with the neccesary restrictions relating to the Foot & Mouth outbreak but this will not impair this prestigious event.....

In the Expert Class, Dan Thorpe’s vast experience was just too good for teenager Ross Danby and title chaser Joe Baker. The latter heads the Expert standings by twenty points. Shibden’s Jack Challoner was the top Youth in the non-Championship class. Sixteen year old Jack was also fifth best in the Expert sections, against all the adults. Richmond’s Jonathan Richardson claimed fourth Youth place riding his JST Gas Gas. Bradford Motor Club member George Morton struck trouble....

The ACU’s Trials & Enduro Committee are pleased to announce both the Men’s and Women’s Teams for the Trials Des Nations event, due to be held in the Isle of Man on 28th – 30th September 2007.Both Teams will be the same as 2006, the Ladies and current Champions consisting of Becky Cook, Maria Conway and Donna Fox, with Katy Sunter as reserve.  The Mens’ Team will be James Dabill, Graham Jarvis, Dougie Lampkin and Shaun Morris with newly crowned World Junior ....

It was a similar story for James Dabill, who after a strong opening ride through the initial few sections, saw his day fall apart as he then endured a string of failures much to his disgust and disappointment. The expectant audience did their best to encourage a recovery from the young rider from Yorkshire, but the more he tried to respond the worse his day became.
