Reigning British Champion Graham Jarvis won the event, by a single mark, from Charnock electrician Shaun Morris who matched Jarvis with a final score of eight penalties, but only after adding two time penalties, were the final scores announced. Jarvis again rode the MRS Sherco four-stroke machine while Morris was on his JST Gas Gas. The reigning British Trials Champion, Graham Jarvis, starts as favourite after his opening round win at Kinlochleven two weeks ago. The Canterbury rider will compete on the M.R.S. Sherco 3.2 four-stroke machine in all Championship rounds, and the Scottish Six Days Trial, which starts next week at Fort William. On current form Shaun Morris and Michael Brown are the riders likely to challenge Jarvis but Alexz Wigg and Sam Haslam could pose a major threat. The reigning British trials champion Graham Jarvis predictably made the winning performance riding his MRS Sherco fourstroke machine. Almost three decades have elapsed since a non-two stroke engined machine has taken the top award. Charnock and Scarborough electricians Shaun Morris and Michael Brown joined Jarvis on the podium.
